The City of Bay Minette is seeking applicants for Firefighter (Alabama Firefighter I/II certification is preferred) to perform technical and specialized work functions associated with driving and operating fire apparatus, preparing for and responding to fire, rescue, EMS, and disaster emergency calls, protecting life and property, and supporting fire safety, prevention, and equipment maintenance activities. An incumbent in this position ensures compliance with all city and state fire codes, laws, and ordinances in order to protect life and property and complies with all rules, orders, and instructions issued by superior officer.
A Firefighter in this position is required to be on a twenty-four hour call and/or work rotating twenty-four hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

This position is part-time, with a maximum of 19 hours worked per week.
